BAZVIC

Security Operations App

OVERVIEWBAZVIC is a private security company in Puebla that needed a mobile tool to manage guards, assignments, and incident reporting. The goal was to design a workforce-management app that matched the team’s real workflows and digital skills — without overwhelming users with low digital literacy.

The Challenge
Leading workforce-management platforms in the security industry, mostly US-based, were hard to adopt in Mexico. Their complexity, language and assumptions about tech skills created a usability barrier and low adoption among guards with limited digital literacy.

Process
After mapping security guards’ pain points and business requirements, I prioritized the core workflow: logging events, sending alerts and submitting reports with minimal friction. I explored multiple options for the mobile information architecture, testing different entry points and navigation patterns to keep actions clear and fast in the field.

Solution
I designed a high-fidelity prototype in Figma focused on simple UI, large touch targets and clear language to reduce the learning curve. Key screens can be understood at a glance, so guards can log events or send alerts quickly, even under pressure.

Impact
The prototype helped BAZVIC validate a mobile-first approach to workforce management with their operations team. It clarified the critical flows, surfaced technical constraints early and became the foundation for future development discussions.
